388 George

A new urban pavilion redefines the streetscape at the important corner of King and George Streets in Sydney, while enabling the sustainable adaptation of the workplace tower. The new entrance lobby is repositioned to address George Street Boulevard with interiors that echo the original curvilinear forms of the ground plane. A basement food market and rooftop bar complement the street retail, address and urban activation. The new building is a series of lightweight concrete panels and louvres to provide depth, quality and human scale to the gently curving address of this civic corner condition.
